Hace un par de semanas tuve la suerte de probar un patrón de "Lily Bird Studio",  "Laura dress and tunic", es un patrón con un corte clásico, de linea trapecio y con un profundo pliegue encontrado en el delantero. Podeis escoger entre 2 tipos de cuello, cuello bebe y cuello estilo "Jackie", se cierra atrás con 2/3 botones o snaps y las mangas son abombadas. Podeis encontrar el patrón desde la talla 1 a la 10.

Mochila Pandielleando

The other day, Yolanda at Pandielleando proposed us to sew a backpack. I am not good at sewing along, but this time I wanted to sew it because I love sewing bags, backpack, etc.
I have decided not spend more money buying fabrics, so I made it with some fabrics I bough some time ago in my local shop Cal Joan and others I had.
The bunny is an ornament I knitted a couple of weeks ago.

Yolanda del blog Pandielleando nos proponía un Cose Conmigo, se trata de coser una mochila, ella nos dió las instrucciones para coser en tres medidad diferentes, yo he optado por la mediana, además también nos explicaba como hacer un colgante, yo he puesto este conejito que tejí hace un par de semanas y al que no le había dado todavía ninguna utilidad. Algunas de las telas las compré en Cal Joan hace ya algún tiempo, otras las tenía de hace todavía más tiempo, me he propuesto no comprar más telas hasta que no acabe con las que tengo. Dificil pero lo intentaremos.

Another Mara Blouse

It's not a secret that I love The Mara Blouse, so that I sewed another one. This time with a cotton apple print fabric. Do you like apples?. 
I have made some changes, as I said in other post, this pattern is very versatile.I changed the neckline and the sleeve width. On the other hand I didn't change the yoke because I consider it the blouse style signature.

No es un secreto que me encanta este patrón, por eso he hecho otra blusa esta vez con estampado de manzanas floreadas. En esta ocasión he hecho algunos cambios, como el escote y la profundidad de las mangas de mariposa. Por otra parte he mantenido la parte del canesú que es el signo de identidad de esta blusa.

 I like buttons, so I add a buttonstand, it's another change I made.
 
Como me gustan mucho los botones, le he añadido una vista al canesú para poder poner unos.

Izzy Top

Last week, Teri at Climbing the Willow, asked for some people to test The Izzy Top out.  I applied and got lucky, it was the first time I had the chance to test a pattern. 
 The Izzy Top is a sweet, feminine curved yoke top pattern that closes with a button (or snap) tab in the back.
 Teri offers the pattern for free download in several sizes, it's easy to sew and very nice.

La semana pasada tuve la suerte de probar un patrón, "The Izzy Top"  del blog Climbing the Willow, tiene un canesú curvado que se cierra en la espalda con un botón o snap. El patrón es gratis y podeis encontrarlo en diferentes tallas, os lo recomiendo porque es rápido y fácil de coser.

I made in a lighweight cotton, and taking advantage of the nice weather I took some pictures.

Lo he hecho en un algodón finito y aprovechando que hacía muy buén día hice algunas fotos del top.

 

I put a button in the back to close it.

Mara Blouse

Since I first saw the Mara Blouse by Compagnie M I felt in love with it. This is the second one I sew, but not the last because I have the intention to turn it into a dress.
 As the weather was nice today, I have decided to take some pictures to show you the blouse and also to take part in the contest that Marte has arranged, all the information here.

I made the Mara blouse in a lightweight cotton, I have not made any change, I sewed a 8-year-old-size. The pattern is very versatile, it comes with five different sleeves, I chose the flutter sleeve.
I recommend this pattern is femenine and has a touch of vintage.

Amor a primera vista es lo que sentí cuando ví esta blusa de Compagnie M "The Mara Blouse" es femenina y tiene un toque "vintage" que la hace ideal para mi hija. Me gusta tanto que ya he cosido dos, pero tengo pensado transformarla en vestido, es un patrón muy versatil, hay cinco tipos diferentes de mangas, y cada una le da un aire diferente al mismo patrón.

Leopard jacket

My daughter wanted a leopard-faux-fur jacket (Have I written it properly?)and ask me to make one, I have a very particular way to make clothes, first I look for inspiration on Pinterest, then I make the pattern and on the go I make changes, at the end my clothes are very different from what I have though, but I like them because they are unique things. This is the case of this leopard jacket. It started as a coat, then as a jacket, but to my view I think it looks like a bomber. In any case, what matter is that my daughter loves it. The wrist and waistband are made on jersey, and has a kind of quilted linning.

Otra de las cosas que he cosido durante las fiestas ha sido esta chaqueta, la niña quería que, según sus palabras, fuese falsa, que no hiciese falta matar a un leopardo, así que como ya no tenía que ir de cacería pues un pedido a Cal Joan, que se encarguen ellos de cazarlos. Tengo una manera muy caótica de coser, primero busco inspiración, casi siempre en Pinterest, después dibujo el patrón y ahora viene lo bueno, empiezo a hacer modificaciones, pues este bolsillo lo cambio, ahora mejor le voy a poner puños y cinturilla de punto, ahora en vez de botones, cremallera, y al final me pueden pasar dos cosas o que me salga un churro o que me salga una maravilla, en este caso creo que ha quedado bastante bién, eso sí en vez de chaqueta tiene más aire de bomber. Otra cosa que cambié fue el forro, al final me decanté por uno de esos acolchados que abrigan más.

Dorothy Day Tripper

Who doesn`t love the bags from Swoon Sewing Pattern? I do, so I have made not one but two Dorothy Day Tripper, one for my daughter, another one for me. This has been my first pattern from Swoon pattern but not the last one. Now I am thinking of doing another beauty, The Betty Bowler, but I am looking for the perfect fabric that catches my eye.
